Inspired by the pamphlets on The Humpo Show (among others, he made one for the films, and one for the books that he saw and read in 2018), I thought I’d make one myself. It’s far from as good as the ones you can find over there, but this post serves more as a way of letting you know that I’m still going to post on this blog. I had to take a break due to my exams, but now that they’re done, I’m quite sure I’ll be able to upload something weekly for at least the next month or so. Next Wednesday my top five favorite films of 2017 should be out. The picture below is quite self-explanatory; it’s a quick recap of all the films I’ve seen in 2018. Below the picture, there’ll be links to the films mentioned in it that I’ve discussed on this blog.

Yeah it’s quite a bit of films! I try to watch more every year, though I’ve only just seen my fist film of 2019, as I didn’t have the time to watch any due to exams. However, now that I have a few weeks off, I’m able to catch up with everything 🙂

Just thought I’d mention where I got the idea from! And it is indeed; such brilliant directing.

That’s a great number of films you saw in 2018, fun to see the ones you chose for this. One of my goals for 2019 is to watch more movies, there were a lot of good films I just never got around to seeing in 2018 .

Yeah, so many great film and so little time. I think I’ve also become a bit of a TV box set binger in recent years, and I ‘ve got out of the habit of watching movies as regularly as I used too. I mean to put that right in 2019 🙂

STILL waiting for the release of “Under The Silver Lake” here in the US. It has now been pushed all the way back to April 19th!

Yeah, I’ve heard about it. I really don’t get why they’re doing it. The film has already come out on Blu-Ray in France and On Demand here in Belgium, so there probably already are illegal copies circling around the internet, which will hurt the overall Box-Office income the film will have. If you really want to see it, I’d advise against watching an illegal copy and go to the cinema when it’s out, because it’s really one to witness on the big screen!

Under the Silver Lake was close to making my 2018 favorites. Certainly an interesting, ambitious film. Difficult to accept I can see myself in the unfocused main character, but that’s life and the film is truthful about being young! 🙂

It’s a very interesting film, to say the least! I loved the way it paid homage to all the eras of filmmaking. The unconventional protagonist is also something that really makes the film stand out, but unfortunately, due to him being quite unconventional, a lot of people might dislike the film.
